Local favorites Bump and Barbara Jean, pictured here at last fall’s Radio Waves Festival, will be appearing on The PlayList on PBS North on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 3 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 22 at 1:30 p.m.

Barbara Jean Johnson of Grand Marais took top honors in the 2011 Big Top Chautauqua’s Celebration of the Song songwriting competition. With voice, viola, banjo and mandolin, Barbara Jean and Bump Blomberg perform original music up and down Minnesota’s North Shore.
