CoLee Johnson of Hovland was the winner in Buck’s Hardware Big Buck Contest for the buck with the largest antlers. CoLee’s buck had an antler spread of 25 inches.
As deer rifle season came to an end on Sunday, November 21, the early leaders in the Buck’s Hardware Big Buck Contest held onto their places and came away winners.
Mark Morehouse of Cottage Grove, MN was still in the lead in the largest dressed weight category with a buck weighing 242.2 pounds. Morehouse wins a new rifle.
The winner in the largest antler category is CoLee Johnson of Hovland with a deer with a 25-inch antler spread. Johnson wins half of the cash from the contest entry fees—$1,995.
Winning the other half of the entry fee cash was Jerry Donek of Schroeder. He also received $1,995.
