According to Buck’s Hardware, fishermen have had success with walleyes on Saganaga and Seagull Lakes in 8 to 15 feet of water, drifting with Lindy Rigs and leech. At Crescent Lake they have been biting in 20 to 23 feet of water with jig and minnow. Devil Fish Lake walleyes are hitting at 15 to 18 feet of water with jig and minnow and drifting leeches. On Two Island Lake, they have been biting at 12 to 15 feet of water with jig and minnow.
Lake Trout have been found in Greenwood Lake in 50 to 55 feet of water, suspended at 40 feet, using ciscoes or smelt. They are running deeper in Lake Superior at 150 to 180 feet off the bottom.
No salmon reports are available.
Carrot Lake has been good for brook trout. They have been caught in 12 to 15 feet of water using crawlers off the bottom. Fishermen report that fly-fishing is good.
Splake and Rainbow Trout have been caught on Esther Lake by fishermen using spinners and Swedish pimples.
