According to Tyson at the Beaver House, walleye fishing has slowed significantly because mayflies are out. However, he said some fishermen have been having luck with leeches on spin-floats and Beaver Flicks.

Tyson added that top water lures and torpedos are working for bass.

Monty at Buck’s Hardware said fishermen have reported success on Devil Track and Kimball Lakes using spinners with leeches or crawlers.

Lake Superior anglers have had luck trolling at 100-feet using “bloody nose” spoons.
