Where are the fish biting?
Local anglers have been a bit secretive about where they are catching fish. However, the folks at Buck’s Hardware Hank heard about a few hot spots this week.
Walleyes have been found at Devil Fish Lake 12 to 17-feet of water on jig and minnows; on Northern Light River on a jig with a leech or night crawler; at Tom Lake in 15-feet of water with slip bobber and leech. Evenings have been the best time for fishing on Tom Lake. The walleyes on Devil Track Lake have been found in 15 feet of water with a slip bobber and leech in the evening. Some Devil Track anglers recommend trolling slowly with rapalas.
Some nice lake trout have been caught in Lake Superior at 130 – 150 feet, bouncing bottom.
