The West End Garden Club of Cook County celebrates its 75th anniversary with floral displays featuring Broadway shows. Theflower show will take place in the Schroeder Town Hall on Saturday, July 17 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

75 years on Broadway,
a non-juried event, allows many possibilities for using flowers and props to represent tunes, lyrics, and stories. Music from Broadway will be featured during the show and everyone is invited to listen to their favorites, to sing along or even dance a few steps if the beat urges you along.

Tea and treats will be served. The master gardeners will be on hand to answer horticultural questions.

Another opening, another show

TheHeritage Center, also in Schroeder, will celebrate the Royal Canadian Mounted Police with a display of posters, paintings, and memorabilia on loan from the University of Minnesota Tweed Gallery. The celebration will take place at the same time as the flower show so both events may be visited in the same afternoon.

We invite anyone who wishes to participate in the flower show to bring a display to the Schroeder Town Hall on Saturday, July 17th at 9:00 a.m. Our club will be setting up the display that morning.

We hope to see you at the show. Remember the flower show event takes place at Schroeder Town Hall July 17 and begins at 1:00 p.m. Admission is free for both events!
