Brenda Renay Enyart


 

 

Brenda Renay Enyart (Suta ya naž in win “She Stands Strong”), age 45, of Swatara, rejoined her loved ones on Christmas morning, Wednesday, December 25, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. A memorial service took place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at Hill City Baptist Church in Hill City. The Rev. Lonnie Lee officiated, and there was a potluck dinner following the service.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Mount Rose Community Church, Grand Portage. The Rev. Jacob McCormick officiated, and burial was in Sunset Cemetery, Grand Portage. A potluck dinner followed services and visitation.

Brenda was born on November 28, 1974, to Frank Saunsoci and Mildred (Longbody) Swartz. She married her loving husband, Paul Enyart, on April 27, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nev. Brenda and Paul were truly inseparable; they were entrepreneurs together. They enjoyed heading down the backwaters of Minnesota to find arrowheads, pottery, and whatever else they could find. The couple traveled the U.S. extensively and also wintered in Arizona for several years, where they enjoyed hiking and panning for gold. Brenda loved fishing, hunting, and cooking; her specialty was her wild rice soup. She was loving, friendly, strong, courageous, and a free spirit who was proud of her Ojibwe heritage. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Brenda is survived by her brothers, Tyrone Nehring of Grand Portage, Eugene Swartz of Swatara, Duane Swartz of Grand Portage; and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded by her parents and loving husband of 20 years, Paul.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
