Breakdown assistance appreciated

On Friday, May 25, my husband and I were traveling from Thunder Bay, Ontario to Duluth. About eight miles past Grand Marais our truck had a major breakdown. There were some great people who helped us out and we would like to say thank you.

We sat on the side of the highway for some time when a wonderful young man and his girlfriend in an older blue Buick pulled up behind us. The young couple had passed us earlier and decided to come back to see if we were okay. They offered to bring me to a sheriff that was just up the highway.

The sheriff offered to take me back to my truck and call a tow truck for us. The sheriff was very friendly and helpful. He stayed with us till the tow truck got there.

The tow truck driver from Wally’s Towing brought us back to Grand Marais and after finding out that the repair shop could not look at our truck until Tuesday, the driver offered to take us back to Thunder Bay for a very reasonable cost.

In a very disastrous situation the help we received from all of these wonderful friendly people was gratefully appreciated. Once again, thank you to all of you.
