Boys take a win over Northeast Range



As the baseball season winds to a close the CCHS boys’ baseball team is playing a lot of games to wrap up the regular season before playoffs start.

On Friday, May 21, the boys played Northeast Range at home and won 11-1.

The Vikings scored one run in the first, off an error, and two runs in the second on walks to Tate Crawford and Patrick Pierre that pushed in runs.

A single Patrick Pierre, groundout by Hunter Gomez and a double by Jacob Dorr provided three runs in the fifth.

Patrick Pierre was 2-2 at the plate with one RBI. Jacob Dorr was 2-5 with three RBI’s. Amos Falter was 2-3 and Hunter Gomez, Ray Dresseley and Riley Tarver also each had a hit in the game.

Jacob Dorr took the win, pitching six innings. The right hander gave up three hits and one run while striking out six.

Elliot Levens was the losing pitcher. He threw four innings, giving up four hits, eight walks and six runs while striking out two.

Northeast Range ended with six errors in the field while the Vikings had one. The Vikings had a field day on the base paths, swiping nine bases. Amos Falter stole four of those bases.
