Boys shut out Northwoods



Through the first two innings, goose eggs appeared on the scoreboard, but the Vikings rallied for two in the third, two in the fourth, three in the fifth and one more run in the sixth to take an 8-0 win over the Northwoods Grizzlies.

The game was played on Thursday, May 19, at Northwoods.

Paul Dorr pitched an excellent game for the Vikings. Paul gave up three hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 12. Ethan Tate came in for relief, pitching one-third of an inning. He walked one and then got the next hitter he faced to fly out to end the game.

In the game, Kole Anderson only had one hit, but it was a big one, a home run in the fourth inning with a man on base.

Paul Dorr was two for four with two RBIs. Hunter Gomez was two for two at the plate. Amos Falter was one for three, Kole Anderson was one for two with two RBIs, and a walk and Cade Smith was one for four.

Northwoods collected three hits and four walks.

The Vikings had one error in the game while the Grizzlies ended with five.

Jacob Dorr had two stolen bases, Paul two and Hunter Gomez one stolen base in the game.
