On Tuesday, January 25 the young Vikings boys’ basketball team traveled to Aurora to play the Mesabi East Giants and lost 75-40.
Freshman guard Rohan Rude led the team in scoring with nine points. Isaac Sandstrom finished the game with six points, Recko Helmersom-Skildum six, Jacob Dorr five, Derek Smith five, Paul Dorr four, Jordan Backstrom three, and Ryan Smith ended his night with two points.
With the loss the Vikings’ record is now 2-9. The victory improved Mesabi East record to 4-8 on the year.
The Vikings next home game is on February 8 against the Silver Bay Mariners. The varsity takes the floor at 4:45 p.m. Come out and cheer for your Vikings!
