Boomer earns allconference honors at UW-Stout





Cook County High School graduate Brea Boomer ended her collegiate basketball career on a high note.

Cook County High School graduate Brea Boomer ended her collegiate basketball career on a high note.

Brea Boomer capped off her stellar University of Wisconsin-Stout basketball play by earning all-conference honors with her honorable mention selection to the 2014-15 All- WIAC team.

The senior captain earned her second honorable mention award, having been selected to the squad following her sophomore year.

This past year Boomer averaged 8.2 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. For her career Boomer finished with 443 rebounds ranking 14th and 847 points. Boomer scored a career-best 24 points in a game against UW-Superior this season. Boomer was also selected to the al l- sportsmanship team.

Boomer played in all 101 possible games during her four years, starting in 81 contests.

The daughter of Mike and Lori Boomer, Grand Portage, Brea is majoring in Early Childhood Education at UW-Stout. She is a 2011 graduate of Cook County High School.
