The Bob Pratt Skills, Trades & Technology Scholarship Fund was created in 2021. Many community members have contributed to the endowed fund, and the scholarship has aided several members of our community.
If you knew Bob Pratt, you know he was always looking out for the little guy. Background, family life, prior education – none of it mattered to him. He helped many people recognize their potential, and then did his best to help them remove the barriers to success. The scholarships are aimed at helping Cook County residents start, progress, and gain new skills.
The latest recipient was Andrea Parent-Smith who attended two University of Minnesota Onsite Sewage Treatment Program Training Courses in Cloquet this spring: Introduction to Onsite Systems and Installing Onsite Systems. The scholarship has funded three other trainings for local residents: Offensive Security/Cyber Security, Chainsaw Safety, and ServSafe.
This weekend, April 23rd, the Second Annual Double Cribbage Tournament to support the Bob Pratt Scholarship is happening at the Birch Terrace. Visit www.myCCHE.org to register.
