The bloodmobile from the Memorial Blood Centers in Duluth will be in Grand Marais on Wednesday, July 22, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Senior Center.
The blood drive will be conducted by Memorial Blood Centers, a non-profit organization that supplies blood and blood components for local and area patients. Every week, they must collect approximately 400 units of blood to meet the needs of the hospitals in the area. One person’s blood donation may save up to three lives. “Please consider being a ‘hero,’ and donate blood for our community,” said Rosemary Lamson, local coordinator for the drive.
Lamson may be contacted at (218) 387-1758 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
