Local author, blogger and entrepreneur Susan May Warren will conduct an all-day workshop on modern marketing techniques from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Cook County Higher Education’s North Shore Campus. Cost is $75, which includes lunch.
In this two-part Saturday class, Marketing 101 starts with the basics of marketing: What is it? What are the elements of a powerful marketing plan?
Then, participants will look at how to create a plan that incorporates both online and offline elements. After lunch participants will apply Marketing 101 techniques to create a marketing system or campaign unique to their business. Using online marketing products such as Facebook, twitter and constant contact, participants will learn how to create a simple campaign. They leave with a solid foundation for staying afloat and learning to swim in today’s complex marketing waters.
