This month Senior Connect West hosted the West End Garden Club Luncheon. Thirty-four people received information about the foundation’s programs and services.
We shared our vision of partnering with Northland Foundation’s Rural Aging Initiative through a grant. This year we look forward to transitioning our successful senior program to Cook County’s first rural nationally accredited senior center. This two-year project and other creative programs are in the works.

On the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month, from 6-9 p.m., our W.E. Movie nights are growing. The ice skating and hockey rink lights are on and open until 10 p.m. Stay toasty in the warming house while watching the kiddos or head out and enjoy the winter Birch Grove Trail on cross country skis. We hope to have the trail groomed soon.
Our seniors will host AEOA Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Winter Banquet on January 28.
