Ms. Jensen, which of the following guidelines would you have me discard? . Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself Lev 19:18 . Honor thy father and thy mother Ex 20:12 . You shall not murder Ex 20:13 . You shall not commit adultery Ex 20:14 . You shall not steal Ex 20:15 . You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor Ex 20:16 . You shall not covet Ex 20:17 . Blessed are the merciful Matt 5:7 . Forgive our debts as we forgive our debtors Matt 6:12 . Judge not Matt 7 and Luke 6:37 . You shall love thy neighbors Matt 22:39 . If you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive you Mark 12:26 . As you would have that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise Luke 6:31 . Be merciful as your Father is Luke 3:6 . A new commandment I give…love one another as I have loved you John 13:34
In your July 11 letter to the editor, your description of the Lord is so twisted that it doesn’t deserve comment. The statement that “the story is so often repeated that it can become so integral as to seem a natural event” is correct. Mainly because it is such an event. It happened and over these many years millions have been killed because they will not deny the truth.
This country was based on these beliefs and has been an example for many other nations and a mecca for people from other countries.
Now, unless people stop clinging to party designations and stop the slide away from the Constitution, this nation is going to become just another nation ruled by the whims of those who manage to grab power.
