Young people ages 12 and up are invited to Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 14 to hear a presentation by Caleb Breakey, who will speak from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and again from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Organizer Sue Prom issued the invitation, explaining that Breakey has written a couple of books about love and relationships. Prom said he would speak the first hour about chastity, and the second session more about dating and relationships. Parents are especially welcome to the second session and everyone is welcome to attend the 6:30 p.m. worship, said Prom.
Breakey will speak about a new way of dating that’s intentional, determined, and ascends to the kind of romance people desire but doubt possible. Breaky says it doesn’t matter whether you’ve broken every relationship bone in your body or if you’re emotionally whole. In his book, Dating Like Airplanes, Breaky writes that all that matters is your willingness to take flight and encounter the greatest romance of all.
In the book, Breakey talks about the real purpose of dating and about setting boundaries (physical and emotional). This book is for the single people out there who are tired of falling and getting hurt, who want to be secure in themselves in their relationships, but mostly in Jesus.
