Barbara and Ted Young from Poplar Creek Guesthouse B&B recently attended a Bed and Breakfast conference in Eau Claire, Wisconsin along with Marlys Johnson and Bob Nesheim, owners of Grand Marais’s newest B&B Pincushion Trails Inn, opening in 2016. The conference was co-sponsored by the Minnesota and Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast Associations. In attendance were owners of 91 inns and over 30 exhibitors from companies serving the industry. Marlys was nominated to the Minnesota Bed and Breakfast Association’s Board of Directors as one of two Northeast representatives with the election scheduled for December.

The conference featured many workshops presented by leading technology, furnishing and gift companies serving inns. Barbara Young said, “Of course the conference was not all work, a fun highlight of the conference was a tour of Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.”
