Minnesota’s bear season is underway and a number of bears have been registered at the two registration stations in Cook County—at Buck’s Hardware Hank in Grand Marais and at Mike’s Holiday in Tofte.
In the past, hunters have had more options for registering bear. Lockport General Store in Lutsen, Windigo Resort up the GunflintTrail, and the Hovland Post Office have all been handling hunting registrations in previous years. However, they are not offering that service this year.
At the two remaining registration stations, the number of bears harvested is 40 at Buck’s Hardware Hank and 55 at Mike’s Holiday in Tofte.
Bear season ends October 17.
