Winter raked the Northland hard all winter, but now that it is grudgingly peeling away many Cook County residents are left with lawns that need attention, maybe more attention than you would like to provide, and that’s where the Cook County High School (CCHS) baseball team would like to help you.
If you are in need of a hand to help—or many hands that could help with your yard work—consider hiring CCHS baseball players.
“We’re inviting requests from senior citizens, or anyone who could use a little help,” said Head Coach Arleigh Jorgenson. “We will bring our shovels, rakes and our strong backs,” he added.
The baseball team will use the proceeds from their work to help pay expenses to games. So far the local field isn’t playable, so the team has had to travel to get games in.
“No one is more aware of how ready we all are for spring. Help us help you chase those winter blues away!” Jorgenson said.
To receive relief from blistered hands and back breaking work, please contact Arleigh Jorgenson at 387-1107 or 370-8731 (arleigh@boreal.org), or Dave Furcht (dmfurcht@boreal.org), 387-3344 or 1-320-291-6925.
The baseball team would like to go to bat for you—or at least to rake for you.
