The Grand Marais Playhouse will hold auditions for its June production at 6:30 p.m. May 10 at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts. Needed are roles for one man and one woman for Dead Certain by Marcus Lloyd.
Dead Certain is the intriguing tale of Michael, a charming out-of-work actor and Elizabeth, a theatre-obsessed exdancer who is now wheelchair-bound and lives alone in a large country house. When she contacts Michael’s agent and offers a large fee if Michael will visit her and act out a play she has written, he jumps at the chance.
However, as Elizabeth’s play unfolds, the suspense builds, until truth and illusion become entangled in a real life game of cat and mouse.
Performance dates are June 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, and July 1-4. Rehearsal schedule will be worked out with director and actors.
