The Cook County ATV Club added a target shooting challenge to its Tom Lake Ride and barbecue last year. It is back by popular demand on Saturday, July 9.
It’s riding season and the Cook County ATV Club is offering another guided ride, this time in the Hovland area. ATV Club members and friends are invited to the fifth Tom Lake BBQ.
In 2010, about 25 ATVers came out for the event and took part in a “Ride & Shoot” target shooting challenge led by ATV Club Vice-President John McClure. Everyone had such a good time, there were requests to do it again, and McClure agreed.
The ATV Club invites anyone who wants to join them—to ride, to shoot, or just to enjoy the day with friends.
Meet at the Portage Brook Pit in Hovland for the Ride & Shoot at 10 a.m. or meet at 7 Boulder Boulevard on Tom Lake at 2:00 p.m. for the BBQ by Sons of the Legion.
