Attention gardeners in the Grand Marais area, we’ve got a group just for you!

The Grand Marais Garden Club is a group of about 45 plant enthusiasts who are meeting monthly to share our love of all things garden related. We started up again this April, enjoying a fun Easter Make and Take together. Following our annual Spring Luncheon in May, we will resume meeting the second Monday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Johnson Heritage Post.

Mark your calendars now if you would like to join us on June 13. After a brief meeting at the Johnson Heritage Post we will be going on a guided wildflower hike and then having lunch at a local restaurant. Our theme this year is, “Out and about with Gardening,” and we’ve got numerous other tours to look forward to throughout the summer! We will also be planting flowers in and around Harbor Park this spring and hosting our annual Flower Show July 23.

If you are interested, we would love to have you join us! Visitors are always welcome at our meetings and annual dues to become a member are only $10. No matter the type of gardening you do or your level of expertise, if you get joy from being around plants, then this is the group for you. We hope to see you on June 13! Questions?
