AT V Fair at Anoka set for May 1-2




The fifth annual ATV Fair and Convention has been scheduled for Saturday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a new location for 2010 — the Anoka County Fairgrounds in Anoka.

The fair will include a Head to Head Mud Races by Northwoods Racing series in the grandstand. TheATV Fair will be the season opener for the 2010 racing series. The races are designed for competitors of all levels, including novices, so ATVers of all skill levels can take part. ATVers can also take part in the ATV pull for a chance to win prizes. Returning entertainment includes the ATV pull and R.C. Racers.

Many ATV clubs will be present to provide information on trails sponsored by ATV clubs and club projects currently underway for trails and education. TheMinnesota Department of Natural Resources will be onsite to provide information on trails, education, and enforcement as well as provide trail maps and information on the status of current projects. Youth ATV riders will also be able to get the latest information on youth safety classes scheduled for 2010.

The ATV Fair and Convention is organized by the All Terrain Vehicle Association of Minnesota (ATVAM). ATVAM is a nonprofit organization established in 1983 with the participation of approximately 70 local clubs dedicated to responsible ATV use, safety, and the development of a sustainable ATV trail system in Minnesota.
