Artist Point is one of the 10 selected locations for the statewide scavenger hunt and social media challenge. The contest, called Checkpoint MN, is hosted by GearJunkie and Explore Minnesota.

The statewide winter scavenger hunt sponsored by Explore Minnesota runs from Dec 15, 2016 to Feb 12, 2017. The premise is simple. There are 10 checkpoint signs at iconic destinations around Minnesota, and prizes ranging from jackets to boots to gift cards and hotel getaways.

Participants earn prizes by traveling to checkpoints, taking a photo of themselves with the sign and uploading it. Winter in Minnesota is fun and this is the perfect way to get out and explore the state this season. Be sure to share your adventures on social media using #OnlyinMN and #CheckpointMN.
