The Cook County Sportsmens Club met for friendly competition on Saturday, June 13. All of the participants fired ten shots with a Survival .22 rifle. The competitor who had the best score won the rifle. Top: Scott Puch watches the target as Tim Miller takes aim. Miller won the competition, hitting all ten of his shots in the target. Above Left: Miller, with his sons, Andrew and Frankie. Andrew is holding the target with Tim’s 10 bullseye shots. Above: The Sportsmens Club also practiced shooting clay pigeons. Jim Roy helps his son, Cameron. Right top-bottom: In addition to the competition, there was cannon firing! Chuck Wallerstadt of Grand Marais loaded the cannon, lit the fuse, and Boom!
