Mush for the Cure co-founders Mary Black and Sue Prom presented the county board with a 2009 Mush for a Cure poster signed by the mushers who participated in the March 14 fundraiser. The gift was given to thank the board for waiving the event fee. Thirty-four sled dog teams and four skijor (skiing with dog) teams participated in the event, which raised $25,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
