The Animal Advocates of Cook County held its third annual Silent Auction and Pet Adoption Day on Saturday, December 19 at the Cook County Community Center. The event was well attended and two of the four lovely cats on hand were adopted. Left:

Gary Siesennop of Grand Marais visited the auction with his yellow Labrador retriever, Ripper the third. The young dog was abandoned near the Canadian border and Animal Advocates took care of him until Siesennop adopted him. If you would like more information about Animal Advocates, call (218) 387-1781.
