Care Center resident Marcy Podas has commissioned five new pieces of art from her grandson, Jeffrey Niesen. She is happy to contribute to the need for new art in the newly remodeled facility and to support Jeff’s art career. Jeff currently lives in Grand Marais, but is originally from Clearwater, Florida.

Marcy, 96, has been a resident of Grand Marais since moving from Minneapolis in 2001 with her husband Norman. She has lived in the Care Center since 2015. Her daughters, Bonnie Gay of Grand Marais, and Jane Wolff of Tampa, Florida will be on hand for the reception and dedication of the art.

The reception to showcase the new original work will be held on Tuesday, September 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at North Shore Health.
