Arrowhead Indivisible meets on courthouse steps

A new year brings new challenges, new goals and new hopes and dreams. For folks who belong to Arrowhead Indivisible, they made their hopes and dreams for the 116th Congress clear by gathering on the courthouse steps and voicing through speech and signs some of the changes they would like to see in 2019. Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. “ -Margaret Mead.

As the 116th Congress convened on January 3, Indivisible members, including members from Cook County gathered around the nation to tell our leaders what we expect them to accomplish during this term.

Arrowhead Indivisible members gathered at noon at the courthouse steps in Grand Marais and each read aloud their most important issues for 2019, to be sent to our members of Congress, Senators Klobuchar and Smith, and Representative Stauber. Topping the list was 1) Medicare For All, and 2) Our Environment, followed closely by Gun Safety Laws, Protecting Families, Dreamers, and Immigrant Rights, and a Woman’s Right to Choose.
