Arrowhead (Electric) Cooperative holds their annual meeting, board elections

Arrowhead (Electric) Cooperative will have a new board member representing Lutsen/ District 6. Sharon Hexum-Platzer defeated Tom Rider to take the spot held by Scott Harrison who had fulfilled his board term limit.

Two incumbents Mike Valentini won Gunflint Trail/District 3 seat uncontested, and Don McKeever won Schroeder/District 7 seat uncontested.

Member owners were invited to attend the Arrowhead Cooperative’s annual meeting held Saturday, June 4. The meeting was held at the Cook County High School gymnasium.

In addition to the election of Directors, the amendments to the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws passed as well.

The morning started with a pancake breakfast followed by a roll call, reading and notice of the annual meeting, consideration of the 2022 annual meeting minutes, acknowledgment of Tellers, last call for ballots, election of Directors, reports of the board of directors and management, results of the election, new business and adjournment.

The annual meeting is held to provide members with information about the cooperative’s growth, financial health, board election, and programs available to members. At the meeting members have the chance to ask questions and learn about the electric industry and Cooperative.
