Arrowhead Eagles sponsor pancake breakfast

Cook County’s volunteer aviation group, The Arrowhead Eagles, will be holding their annual fly-in/drive-in pancake breakfast on Saturday, September 21 from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at the Grand Marais/Cook County Airport, 123 Airport Road in Grand Marais.

Proceeds from the event help to fund the Arrowhead Eagles’ mission to support Cook County Minnesota’s airport and aviation tradition. The Arrowhead Eagles do this through promoting aviation events, airport enhancements, youth-oriented activities and opportunities, encouraging community use and a friendly atmosphere at the Cook County/ Grand Marais airport.

Arrowhead Eagles is a not for profit volunteer organization which helps fund small airport projects. Coming in 2020 they will start a small scholarship program for local students with an interest in aviation. The Cook County/ Grand Marais EDA is a partner in the start-up of the scholarship program.

On September 21, many aircraft will be on display and free airplane rides will be available with the purchase of a pancake breakfast. Breakfast is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12 years of age.
