Give to the Max Day was a unique opportunity to support increased public awareness of the value and beauty of flight. Although it’s over, the chance to donate to a good cause continues on. Whether experienced in aviation, a plane owner, occasional passenger, or just interested in the growing history of aviation in Cook County, individual contributors can still help the Arrowhead Eagles Aviation Organization promote all that aviation brings to the quality of life in our region.
Thanks to a $1,000 gift from a major donor to support the scholarship award recently presented to Ben Seaton, the Arrowhead Eagles encourages community support to build additional scholarship options, provide introductory flights, help with airport improvements, develop student educational materials, and to provide a student flight simulator. Another key need is ground transportation: individuals with a car or passenger van that is no longer needed, should consider donating the vehicle to the Eagles.
“All gift inquiries are confidential,” said Mike Raymond, Eagles president. “We encourage anyone interested in providing gift support for aviation to contact us at any time. All gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent provided by law.”
Support of our aviation heritage also includes gifts through estate planning such as bequests, trusts, life insurance, and appreciated personal property. We are very happy to visit with anyone interested in how to promote aviation, particularly for student career considerations.
The Arrowhead Eagles Aviation Organization, a nonprofit organization, is a group of individual aircraft owners and others interested in aviation. Their mission is to support Cook County’s airport and aviation tradition through promoting aviation events, airport enhancements, youth-oriented activities and opportunities, and to encourage community use and a friendly atmosphere at the Cook County/Grand Marais airport.
