Are you a Locavore? WDSE Cooks wants your recipes!

Local foods are fresher, more delicious, and better for you than food shipped across the country. Do you tend to shop for foods raised in and around your local hometowns? Do you grow your own garden, hunt or fish here in the great North? Do you frequent the farmer’s market?

If so, then you are indeed a locavore! Now WDSE Cooks
wants your best recipes for our next cookbook and cooking show “L” is for Locavore!

We know our own gardens, farmer’s market, berry patch, or neighbor’s chicken coop can yield some fabulous bounty. Please tell us how you use these local foods. We’re looking for you, locavore, and your favorite recipes that include at least one locally produced ingredient, and the more local ingredients the better!

Two lucky winners with delicious recipes featuring the most local ingredients by percentage will win $50 gift certificates to the Duluth Whole Foods Co-op.

WDSE Cooks
is partnering with the Duluth Whole Foods Co-op to make this the best cooking show ever. Submit your favorite “L” is for Locavore
recipes by July 5 to WDSE Cooks,
WDSE•WRPT, 632 Niagara Court, Duluth, MN 55811.

North Shore cooks who have appeared on WDSE Cooks
in the past have been Paulette Anholm, Joan Farnam, Lavonne Anderson, Lyn Singleton, Deb Steenbakker, Nina Simonowicz, and Donna Lunke and her mom, Iola Wojtysiak.

Everyone who sends in a recipe will receive a gift from WDSE Cooks!
If we choose your recipe and you make it on the show, you’ll also win a copy of the “L” is for
Locavore
cookbook and a cool apron.
