Concerning the recent letter from the “Returned Peace Corps Volunteers from Minnesota.” It seems these folks from the Peace Corps (or “P.C.” for short) have noticed that there has been an “increase in anti-Muslim, anti-Islam, and anti-immigrant rhetoric that is sweeping across America and our state.”
The P.C.s say that we are awash in “hateful speech,” “bigotry” and “ignorance.”
Do you believe that? I don’t. I still see Americans, and more specifically Minnesotans, as the most tolerant, neighborly, and generous people in the world and I won’t sit quietly by while being insulted by these morally superior, overeducated, over-privileged P.C. elitists. Who do you think they think they are writing to? Are we the intolerant, xenophobic, knuckle-dragging rubes they take us for? No, we’re not.
Since they don’t give any examples, I can only guess that what they are calling “hate speech” is the justifiable concerns that more and more people are expressing about a world seemingly spinning out of control. A world changing so fast and for the worse that not to live in a state of disquiet and uncertainty about our future is little short of foolish denial.
More specifically, when we look at the chaos and disorder that has resulted from the insane experiment of mass-importation of Muslims into the heart of Europe, we can only stop and say “Please God, not here.”
While the P.C.s send their Kumbaya propaganda messages, the rest of us are under no illusions about the real source of institutional intolerance, hatred, abuse and murder of Christians, Jews, women, gays, children and Muslims of the wrong flavor around the world. I’m convinced that we Americans must proceed with great wisdom and caution in determining who will be allowed into our country and we must have the laws, border controls and leadership in place to enforce our decisions.
Is this “hate speech”? Am I an “ignorant bigot”? I’m willing to let the non-P.C.s reading this be my judges.
We can talk about defunding this useless, failed government agency another day .
