ARAC announces grant application deadlines




The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council announces upcoming grant deadlines for funding for individual artists and arts organizations in Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake and St. Louis counties. The dates for upcoming grant writing workshops and grant program deadlines are: . Nov. 19: Art Project Grants. Thismatching grant program offers funding to arts organizations of up to $6,000 to produce or present arts activities that encourage the artistic growth and development of the organization and the artists or audience they serve. . McKnight/ARAC Career Development Grants. This non-matching grant program offers funding to assist visual, literary and performing artists to take part in impending, concrete, short-term career

opportunities that will impact or advance

their work or careers. . Jan. 28, 2011: Rural and Community Art Grants. This matching grant program offers support for arts groups located outside the Duluth Urban Area and small, community-based arts groups located inside the Duluth Urban Area. Groups may request up to $4,000 per application to produce or present arts activities that

impact the group and the community they

serve. . Small Capital Grants applications deadline. This matching grant program provides support to arts organizations of up to $1,500 for underwriting small capital expenses related to the organization’s

building, programming and services.
