Apply for the Bob Pratt Skills, Trades & Technology Scholarship Fund for Cook County residents


If you knew Bob Pratt, you knew he was always looking out for the little guy. Background, family life, prior education – none of it mattered to him. He helped many people recognize their potential, and then did his best to help them remove the barriers to success.

In honor of Bob’s spirit, family members and friends raised enough money to offer small scholarships every other month to help Cook County residents start, progress, and gain new skills. The application for the scholarship funds is very simple and can be found at mycche.org/bob-pratt-scholarship/.

Examples of eligible expenses for the grant are:

• Training less than an AA degree.

• Exam prep or pre-license courses.

• Short duration certification programs.

• Any certification needed to support a job or get a job.

• Apprenticeship expenses.

• Tools required for a course and/or training.

Cook County Higher Education (CCHE) is facilitating these grant funds. If you have an interest in trying a new trade or job and need some help, then please consider applying for this scholarship.
