Applicant appreciates support

I was an applicant for the general manager position at Superior National, and although I was not chosen, I received tremendous support from this community. I would like to take the time to thank everyone for their support over the past several weeks. I have been overwhelmed by the amount of encouragement and will never be able to fully express how much it means to me.

This was, undoubtedly, my dream job, and would have solidified my family’s long-term future in this community. But unfortunately, the EDA had a different perspective for the future of the golf course – and that I can respect.

If there is one lesson I learned throughout this process, it is the unwavering loyalty this community has for its fellow community members. It is the reason I returned to Cook County after graduating from school, and why I chose to buy my first home and start a family here as well.

Superior National has been my home golf course since I was 13 years old, and I dream of the day when my son will be old enough to have the same appreciation for SNL. The past several weeks have not altered my loyalty to the golf course, and I will continue to make strides to improve upon its success.

Again, thank you so much to all of the individuals who took time from their busy lives to offer words of support.
