An end to ignorance, written by Rhonda in her Unorganized Territory column in the November 24 issue, was very uncomfortable to read and ponder. But as I did so, I could not help but later change the events that she so well described, to be inserted with words and circumstances that pertain today to the horrific deaths of the unborn, in the name of abortion.
If we were all to watch a “filmstrip” of the horrors of the baby being torn apart, or dying from whatever the method is that is being performed, we would all hopefully ask ourselves, as she did referring to the evil of hatred: “How could this be happening again (and again) in America?”
Where is the baby’s “right to the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness,” which each of us professes to so endear in our country?
There are other options, even if it seems the end of the world to those involved at the time.
Please seek out the better alternatives for you and the child. There is hope: Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (www.mccl.org) has listed in their “Pregnant?” tab forms of assistance available to help you not to have an abortion.
If you have had an abortion or aided in an abortion being committed, the MCCL Resources tab “Post Abortive Services” lists organizations that are available for you and others concerned.
There is love and forgiveness for you to help you go on in your life. Local clergy, doctors, and others are ready to help you with referrals.
