Angela J. Cook of Schroeder passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park, Minn. at the age of 45. Angela passed peacefully while surrounded by loved ones.
Angela was born in Minneapolis to Daniel G. Cook and Elizabeth R. Peterson. She grew up on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior in Schroeder and graduated with the Cook County High School Class of 1990.
She was employed as an accounts payable clerk for several firms in the Twin Cities until she returned to the North Shore in 1999. Again, she worked in the accounting field where she was employed by Caribou Highlands Lodge in Lutsen. In 2010 she accepted a position with the County of Cook as an office support specialist in the Public Health and Human Services Department. She later moved to the County Auditor’s Office as a deputy auditor-treasurer/bookkeeper.
Angela enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, attending concerts, NASCAR racing and spending time with family and friends, and when visiting in the “cities,” she enjoyed going out to clubs where her father was playing music. She always looked for the good in people and was always ready to lend a helping hand especially at school sporting events and church suppers.
Angela will be sadly missed by her daughter, Courtney Clyde; mother, Elizabeth Peterson; father, Daniel (Marilyn) Cook; brother, Ryan Cook; stepsisters, Shelly Olsen and Tracy Peterson; maternal grandparents, Ray and Phyllis Pearrow; as well as aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
Angela was preceded in death by a sister, Danielle Cook; stepbrother, Scott Peterson; stepfather, Floyd Peterson Jr.; and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Gladys Cook.
