Every time junior quarterback Leo Johnson threw the football in the direction of junior wideout Owen Anderson, Viking fans expeced Anderson to catch the ball. It didn’t matter how tightly he was covered or how much he had to adjust to the ball on the fly, Anderson rarely dropped a pass that could be caught, and for his extraordinary acrobatic efforts he was named by coaches to the first team Great Polar Alliance All-Conference Team – Red Division.
Anderson also ran the ball and took a turn or two at quarterback. On defense he was fourth on the team in tackles with 51. He also returned punts and kick-offs and finished the season with 1,182 total yards of offense.
Two Viking linemen who showed a lot of hustle and muscle, Noah Warren and Jamie Wick, were also named Honorable Mention All- Conference. Both played offense and defense on the line with Warren tallying 57 tackles and Wick 39 tackles.
