On Monday, June 2, Commander Bob Matson of American Legion Post 413 visited the Silver Bay Veterans Home and presented them with a $750 donation.
While there, Bob discussed with the staff the possibility of once more hosting a busload of the Veterans home residences for a luncheon in Grand Marais. Before the pandemic, this was a special event that happened two or three times during the summer and fall seasons.
This donation is just a continuation of Post 413’s strong support and appreciation of the Veterans home’s service and care for the veterans and their families.
