Care Partners and the North Shore Health Care Foundation are presenting a community open forum on Alzheimer’s and other dementias. It will be held on April 28, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Corcoran Classroom, lower level of the Sawtooth Mountain Clinic in Grand Marais. It is free and open to all who are interested.
The program will feature Dr. Terry Barclay, PhD, LP. There will also be a panel discussion with local resource professionals who work with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
Dr. Barclay is director of neuropsychology at HealthPartners and Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He is also adjunct associate professor of neurology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Barclay serves as clinical director of Minnesota’s statewide program for dementia caregivers called Family Memory Care.
He is a frequent speaker on timely detection of cognitive impairment in the geriatric population.
