On September 22, 2014, I voted in the November election.
The Minnesota legislators passed a bill allowing early voting for the November 2014 election, beginning September 19.
Most of Cook County residents receive an early mail-in ballot. Residents in towns with polling places have had only one day to vote, until now.
I went to the Cook County courthouse and requested an absentee ballot. The new law allows this absentee ballot without a valid excuse. Having filled out the request, I returned it and was asked if I wanted to vote in person or have the ballot mailed. I chose to vote in person.
Now, no matter what the weather or what personal circumstances face me on November 4th, my vote is cast.
