Jordan Backstrom, Grand Marais, was the clear winner in the Kids’12 and under rock skipping contest. Pete Kavanaugh, the Lions’ judge for the contest, called Jordan’s winning skip good at 25 skips, losing count as it continued to skip farther and farther out of sight.
