Allie Duclos has left the amateur ranks and is now log-rolling and, boomrunning professionally against the top women in North America.

Duclos, 17, made her professional women’s log rolling debut at the Lumberjack Games – Splash n’ Dash in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. It was an excellent way for her to dip her toes into the professional world. Allie had a first tough match with the legendary Shana Verstegen and lost but not without taking a fall on Shana by surprising her with a tremendous splash.

Allie is currently ranked 12th in the women’s log rolling field after taking 5th place at the Midwest Championship in Madison. Allie rolled several top women rollers, including Clair Keech and Shana Verstegen, who ranked in the top three.

The US Open in Gladstone, Michigan, was a phenomenal boom run for Allie, not just as a professional, but it was her first boom running ever! Allie completed two amazing runs and grabbed third place on the podium. Her log rolling attendance also paid off as she had a chance to roll Ellie Davenport, ranked second in the world. Allie took 5th place.

This weekend Allie is off to the Three Rivers Roleo tournament in Kimberly, Wisconsin, as she prepares for the Lumberjack World Championship in Hayward, Wisconsin, that will be held July 19-22. There Allie will face fierce competition in log rolling and boom running!

Allie wishes to thank her local sponsors Cook County Home Center, The Blue Moose, LutZen Massage Studios, Buck’s Hardware, and Cathedral of the Pines Camp, where Allie has been training for years! Thank you for being so supportive!
