AGAPE, a nationally known performer of hip-hop/ rap with a Christian theme, will be appearing at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on October 14.
In Greek, the word used to describe God’s unconditional love is “Agape.” This message of God’s love without boundaries is the foundation of nationally known Christian hiphop/ rap youth ministry artist AGAPE.
Agape is the love that persists in spite of hatred, ignorance and sin. It’s the love that conquers death by pouring itself out for the sake of an enemy. And that is the message artist AGAPE (Dave Scherer) wants to share with the youth of Cook County at a concert at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Grand Marais on Wednesday, October 14.
The public is invited to the event that includes a pizza gathering at 5:30 p.m. before the concert at 6:30 p.m.
The concert, which is part of AGAPE’s 2015 Rise Up Together Tour, is hosted by Trinity Lutheran and Bethlehem Lutheran churches.
A $5 donation is suggested to benefit “Walk for Water” to provide clean water sources in many countries.
