America has a history of good success with a two party political system that has balanced us with the logic that no one political belief in its extreme can be correct.
For the sake of defining the main difference in each of the parties’ positions and solutions, the overriding theme would likely be the value of a LARGE or LIMITED government control over our lives.
Those who favored large government control have had the wisdom to agree that problems result with excessive government control.
Those who favored limited government control recognized the needs of many areas where national conformity government solutions are needed.
Now, we seem to have reached the conclusion that whatever the other side believes, they are wrong. Having friendly political conversations lead to anger and disagreements. We choose only media who report what we want to hear.
We elect leaders and insist that they follow their party line with that system in place and there can be no middle ground using logical thinking and control.
Our founders, in their incredible wisdom, gave us a system based on the constitution that has served us to be the most prosperous and benevolent country in world history. That constitution is under attack as an outdated system.
Would it not be wonderful if we could return to the times when we could peacefully discuss the issues of government and require our leaders to do the same?
I love the song “Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.”
We are the cause of the problems, but we are also the solution.
