The Cook County Historical Society will host a “small talk” with Ray Nagy at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 24 at the Historical Society Museum on Broadway Avenue in Grand Marais.
Nagy was in the US Coast Guard and on a rescue mission during the fateful storm in November 1958 when commercial fishermen Hammer and Aakvik were lost at sea. Nagy was lucky to make it home alive.
Come hear one of the most famous tales of the North Shore from a different perspective.
The event is free and includes coffee and treats in the museum’s new addition.
